2015: two technicians and an engineer agree on a great Idea for bringing a fun diverse acoustic performance to local wineries and brew pubs. What came next was the blend of three eclectic musicians melding all of their different tastes and styles into an energetic mix of music and the three began the evolution of Possible Human Origins. the rest is a story that is still unfolding. come join the journey and make some new memories with us!  2021 on new years eve appeared a third technician!

 

 

Greg Gillispie

Hailing from the burnt part of Oregon, Greg left Klamath falls for a chance to be heard So Eugene is where he landed. Song writer, Musician, and front man, Greg has played in several Willamette valley projects including Sunday Straight Jacket,Hyding Jekyl, Strange Dichotomy, and Pik Six. Pho is where he gets to play some if his favorite covers reinvented in a way that shows the whole bands personality

Riley “GQ STUD” Mcniff

Drums – percussion


Riley was a late bloomer as a musician, but fell in love with hand percussion after picking up a djembe at age 20. Since then, he has been fortunate enough to spend time abroad wandering the globe, discovering various percussion instruments and playing styles from all over. That resulted in his creation of a unique drum kit composed of hand percussion instruments with roots in 4 continents, allowing a diverse and adaptable sound. After playing in his first band in Denver for six years, he later changed the scenery to Oregon in 2013 and has been with PHO ever since.

Peter “Just Pete” pergament grew up here in the willamette valley, Always had a love for music of all kinds. Spent most his youth playing in rock and punk bands in his younger years. In the early 2000’s his band Rapid demize was a staple at the local pubs for a number of years enjoying the local punk scene. After finding pho he has found a place that really speaks to his love for music and artistic license!

Ben Heiken

Guitar – Bass


Ben came to Eugene from Pensacola, Florida in 2012. He started to attended  all ages shows in Pensacola at age 16 where he fell in love with every thing involved with live music. Not too long after Ben made Eugene home (and after a few serendipitous chance meetings), Ben meet Greg Gillispie at a local show. In 2015 Ben was creating and running light shows for 2 local bands (Hyding Jekyll and PikSix). And in the Winter of 2021 Ben was asked to join Pho on bass and guitar. His musical tastes vary from 90s Grunge to Hip-Hop to Classical to Punk.  -“Stay positive and love your life.”
